evoking the styles of Dali, Bosch and Picasso with militaristic overtones of life in the USA during WWII this painting offers an early glimpse into the world view of the artist
North was born in Michigan, in 1917, he studied various styles of art at Grand Rapids Junior College and later taught art at the Grand Rapids Art Gallery in Michigan. Being an enthusiastic, energetic and adventurous man, North moved to Arizona in 1980 where he began incorporating his inspiration of the desert landscape into his paintings
